Argentina beat Colombia on penalties to move into final

Argentina beat Colombia 3-2 in a penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw in their semi-final in Brasilia on Wednesday to qualify for the Copa America final, where they will meet current champion Brazil. After 90 minutes could not separate both the teams, the match went straight to penalties as per the to rules.
In the shoot-out, Argentine goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez saved three important penalties from Davinson Sanchez, Yerry Mina and Edwin Cardona to help the Albiceleste beat Colombia. Meanwhile, Lionel Messi, Leandro Paredes and Lautaro Martinez all scored from the spot to put Argentina through to the title decider.
Argentina had taken the lead after six minutes through Martinez but Luis Diaz equalised for Colombia after the hour. Lionel Messi’s side will face hosts Brazil in Saturday’s final at the Maracana after the reigning champions beat Peru 1-0 in Monday’s first semi-final.
