Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni will hold a virtual press conference tomorrow on whether this year’s SSC and HSC exams will be held, if not then how to evaluate. She will hold a press conference at 11am on Thursday, said MA Khair, public relations officer of the ministry. It is learned that if it is not possible to take this year’s SSC and HSC exams, the Ministry of Education is thinking of upgrading them in an alternative way. For this, several proposals have been prepared and sent to the Prime Minister.

The proposal states that only multiple-choice questions (MCQs) should be tested, excluding compositional or creative questions. Taking exams by reducing the subject and full standard (total number of exams). In this case, to integrate two papers of each subject. Besides, the test will be taken on 100 marks instead of 200 marks. But in both cases, there is a need to improve the situation. In other words, if the infection falls below 10 percent, in-person exams will be taken after confirming the hygiene rules. The number of health care centers will be doubled compared to the current one.

Although teachers have taken a position against evaluating public examinees considering assignment numbers. They have decided to reduce the syllabus and time to take the exam. Earlier, the National Advisory Committee had ruled that the infection rate should be below 5 percent to take exams. Currently, the rate of corona infection is on the rise in the country. Some people also think that the decision of alternative assessment may come instead of examination.
