JU students are returning home by university bus

Students of Jagannath University are returning home by university bus to share the joy of Eid with their families on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. A total of 1,507 students are returning home on Saturday in 23 transports, including the university’s own transport and buses hired from the BRTC. University Vice-Chancellor Prof. when leaving the bus. Saturday the buses left the university campus for different districts of Rajshahi, Rangpur and Sylhet divisions. Students are admitted to the campus by checking the temperature at the university gate to ensure health rules. Later, the University Proctorial Body confirmed the seats in the respective district buses after seeing the ID card and proof of studenthood along with the application list. Most of the buses had empty seats when the bus left.

It is learned that many students of Dhaka University got stuck due to shutdown. In response to the application of the stranded students, the university administration took the initiative to provide buses to transport the students to different districts of the country on July 18-19. Buses are going to Rajshahi, Rangpur and Sylhet divisions on Saturday and will go to Barisal, Khulna division on July 18 and to Chittagong, Mymensingh division on July 19.

Sociology student Sabbir Ahmed is going to Sirajganj district of Rajshahi division. He said, From the beginning of the lockdown, I was very worried whether I would be able to celebrate Eid with my family or not. Although I started the vehicle later, I was disappointed at the last minute due to ticket hassle, not getting a ticket and double ticket price. Finally going home on the varsity bus. Abdullah Al Masud, transport administrator of the university, said, Vehicles are going on different routes in 3 departments after 8 am. Today, a total of 23 buses with a total of 1508 students are going to 3 sections. Of these, 6 buses belong to BRTC and the rest belong to the university. Appropriate punishment will be provided in case of any untoward incident. Students will contact the helper if there is any need on the bus.
