Police have submitted the final report before the court exempting Bashundhara Group MD Sayem Sobhan Anvir in a case filed over the suicide of Mosarat Jahan Munia. Police submitted the report before the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.

On the evening of April 26, Munia was found hanging in a flat at House No. 19, Road No. 120, Gulshan. Munia’s elder sister Nusrat Jahan Tania filed a case against Bashundhara Group MD Sayem Sobhan Anvir alleging incitement to suicide.

The case alleges that Munia had a love affair with Sayem Sobhan Anvir. Sayem Sobhan kept Munia in the flat for a rent of one lakh taka per month. Anvir used to visit that house regularly. They used to be like husband and wife. Munia’s sister complained that she had left her sister in the flat to get married. Sayem Sobhan Anvir is furious with her sister for posting a picture on Facebook. It seems to them that Munia did not commit suicide. She may have been incited to suicide.
