BGB deployed in 22 districts

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members are being deployed in different districts of the country to ensure security during Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of Hindus community. BGB Director (Operations) Lieutenant Colonel Faizur Rahman confirmed the matter on Thursday.
He said the decision to deploy BGB across the country was taken on the instructions of the home ministry in response to the demand of the concerned district administration to ensure security at Durga Puja. So far, BGB has been deployed in 22 districts including Comilla, Narsingdi and Munshiganj. If there is a demand from the concerned authorities, BGB will also be deployed in the capital Dhaka.
