2 Bangladeshis killed in BSF firing in Lalmonirhat

Two Bangladeshis have been killed in firing by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF). The incident took place at Lohakuchi border in Velabari area of Aditmari upazila of Lalmonirhat on Wednesday morning.
The deceased were identified as Waj Kuruni, 35, son of late Sanwar of Mahishtoli village under Velabari union of the upazila and Ainal Haque, 30, son of Sadek of the same area.
According to the family sources of the deceased, when the two deceased went near pillar no. 22 of the Lohakuchi border in the early hours of Wednesday, the patrol team of The Shitai BSF camp of India opened fire on them. They died on the spot. Later, the family members brought their bodies home.
Lalmonirhat-15 (BGB) confirmed the death of two people and said that the process of issuing protest letters is underway.
