Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad today said he was concerned whether the upcoming national elections will take place or not. “I want to give a message to the people of this country. There is still a lot of doubt over the elections,” Ershad said while addressing a public rally organised by the United National Alliance at the capital’s Suhrawardy Udyan.
Mentioning that there is no atmosphere to hold election in the country, the JP chairman urged the government to ensure proper environment for holding a free and fair election. “We will contest in all 300 seats in the next elections through the alliance,” Ershad, also the chief of the JP-led 58-party United National Alliance (UNA) added. He also demanded the election-time government should be formed with the political parties having representatives in the parliament.
